The forest is a place filled with trees and animals of all different kinds. There are many things that we can do in the forest. Many people go hiking through the woods, there are special paths that lead to the interesting parts. Many of these special places are lakes or fields for example. At the lakes people usually go fishing, or swimming, and sometimes use small boats. In the forest it is possible to go hunting and to watch for some kinds of animals.
Forests are also very good for the environment. The trees and flowers give oxygen to the atmosphere that makes the air much cleaner to breathe. The forest is also a source of food. We can pick up mushrooms and different kinds of berries there. The flowers and trees are very beautiful. When I was a child I always enjoyed walking in the woods near my grandparents’ country house. It is always very quiet in the forest and I relaxed and enjoyed the birds’ singing.
Unfortunately now people cut down a lot of trees and destroy the natural habitat of wild animals. But I hope that a lot of people also plant trees not to let the forests disappear.
