BACK TO SCHOOL
In August summer vacation is coming to an end and we are going back to school. I'm a little bit upset that I will have to study instead of spending a lot of time outside in the evenings. The weather is going to be bad, it's going to be rainy and windy. I feel so sad every time automn comes...
On the other hand I will see my friends back in school. I'm looking forward to seeing my friends and telling them all about my summer vacation, I also want to know everything about their summer.
Very soon we all are going to meet in the classroom and discuss news, show off our new smartphones and tablets, watch videos and laugh a lot. We will quietly talk during lessons and pass notes to each other during the tests. More than that, we are going to eat tasty bakery treats in the cafeteria and play football with Sergey Pavlovich (our PE teacher) at the stadium.

ABOUT MYSELF
From the very start I should say that it is not an easy thing to speak about myself as it is hard to have a look at yourself from aside, but at the same time who knows you better than you yourself do?
I am a girl of sixteen. When I look at myself in the mirror I see a blond girl with short straight hair, dark eyes and a slender figure. As to my appearance I'm rather tall and slim. I have never thought I'm a beauty, I wish I were more beautiful. I think that I'm even tempered, rather reserved, calm and modest. But sometimes I can lose my temper and become either angry or sad. I like staying alone and sometimes I retreat into my shell. But at the same time I like my friends, I like to laugh and joke. I have got a sense of humour. It means I understand humour and appreciate it.
There are many things in our life I like and some I dislike. I like when everything is OK. Being happy is one way of being wise. I like to study because knowledge

The weather 
Every season is wonderful in its own way. In spring the air is refreshing, the trees are in blossom, the ground is covered with the first tender flowers. The birds start singing heavenly songs. In summer it can be really dry and sultry, there are thunders and lightnings during the heavy showers. People go sunbathing, fishing and sailing and enjoy all kinds of fruits and berries. In autumn the trees turn golden, it often rains cats and dogs and it’s quite muddy. The sky is overcast with grey clouds, sometimes it’s foggy and chilly and the days become shorter. In winter the snow covers the ground, the air is frosty, the roads are slippery. It is mainly freezing and there are periods of severe colds and heavy snowfalls. The temperature can fall down to 35 degrees below zero.

My summer holidays
In my opinion, summer is the best season of the year, because all children and adults have holidays. Different people have different opinions of how to spend their holidays. Some people prefer just to rest and watch TV, others like to travel. I am fond of travelling too.
Every year my parents, my elder brother and I go to the Black Sea coast, in Sochi. We book a hotel in advance and buy train tickets. I like to go by train, look through the window and admire all the beauty of the nature.

AT SEASIDE
If you are going to stay in England for some time you ought to spend at least a week at the seaside. If you can stay longer, so much the better. You will have no difficulty in finding a suitable hotel or a boarding house.
Let us go to the English seaside and watch the holiday-makers who are enjoying their rest there. You can see a lot of people in the bathing suits. They are lying in the sun or swimming. Some of them look rather sunburnt. People like swimming because a swim an hour a day will do a lot of good. If you bathe every day you’ll be very healthy and strong.
